Making a rail map for the city of Rotterdam turned out to be harder than anticipated, due to the city's long horizontal and vertical axes. The city is famous for its port and its no-nonsense character. I wanted to apply the same style of the Amsterdam Rail Map to Rotterdam (and a map of The Hague). However, this city required the use of insets to fully display everything on the B2 landscape poster.
Just as the Amsterdam one (and the abandoned The Hague one), the problem with these maps is the changing of timetables and services. It's tedious to keep updating these, especially as very few people actually get one. It was fun, but it was a one-off. And the The Hague version will probably never be finished (sorry).
